Why does Brittany Spears cut her hair short then wear extentions every time she is on TV? What is the point? Why did she cut it in the first place? I think it looks better longer.

I wonder whether there isn`t an element of thrill about fooling the viewers. She may think, not incorrectly, that few realise that she is sporting extensions, thus she is pretending, hiding as actresses do. Also, wearing extensions must afford her a dimension of flexibility in her appearance. Like Kylie, perhaps she is into hair big time.
I have read that money is like water to her... that being said maybe she or her managers like the look of the extentions for her stage show but she perfers the shorter style for "her" time. She cut it over a year ago so if she disliked it she could have grown it back by now

It`s kinda Ironic that she did cut her hair since she was quoted as saying she is a long hair girl and doesn`t like short hair. But that was a few years ago, you would think she would want the short hair for when she is on stage so she is not so hot with all that hair. Plus the extinsions look like shit on her she looks better with short hair, although the shortest I`ve seen it is chin lenght.
I think her hair looks good both ways. I think it would be less work to keep it shorter. I never saw it when it was chin length, anyone have a picture?
I`m no big britney spears fan, but for some reason I`m the only person on this board who knows how to spell her name correctly. It`s britney. As for her hair, I`m always playing a guessing game as to what her actual cut is because every time I see a picture of her shes wearing extentions or seems like she is.

I happen to live in Britney`s hometown of Kentwood, LA. Though we`re a very small town and not much goes on here that everyone doesn`t know about, the REAL length of her hair is as much a mystery to folks around here as to anyone else. On the rare occasions when she is home, she seldom comes out in public and when she does, she`s usually not flaunting her tresses for sure. Baseball caps and sunglasses are usually what folks mention her wearing (that and her cropped tops... hey, this is the bible belt and a conservative country town!). I`d like to see some pics of her real length myself.
