Think there`s any connection between Ms. Womack`s long extensions and her newfound success on the country charts and award shows? And to anybody who watched the country awards show the other night: Didn`t it look like Faith`s hair grew back some awful fast?

Faith....Did I not call this!!(on the board)
I knew she would get extensions, in fact I think she already had some, then just added longer ones. It is real easy for me to compare because after she chopped it off we ended up with the same length hair. And I can only dream mine was that long already!!!

You really think Leann W. has extensions, her hair normally looks like her own.

Gord I could not agree w/ you more on the connection between LeeAnn Womacks long hair and her hit song!!! In fact I don`t think she ever had a hit until she grow up her hair... a few more inches and it will be Faith who? In fact as soon as my hair gets long enough to attach extensions I`m off to Nashville... watch for my as Hally Ray Cirus!!!!

OK, so if she didn`t get a hit until she grew her hair, how do you account for the following country females who had big hits with SHORT hair...

Faith Hill
Reba
Lorrie Morgan
Martina McBride

My point is it doesn`t matter what your hair looks. It`s the music that matters. The rest is just fodder for people like us!

Oh yeah? You forget that Reba was way more popular when she had "big" hair. Faith Hill was never more popular during her longhair years. Lorrie Morgan has always looked hot. And, to be honest, I couldn`t tell you a Martina McBride song from a Martina Hingis song. I noticed that you conveniently left out Crystal Gayle, Trisha Yearwood, Shania Twain, the Carters (June Carter Cash, Deanna Carter and Carlene Carter), Juice Newton, Kathy Mattea, Lila McCann, Lynne Anderson and Amy Grant. Do me a favor just for laughs: visit http://www.askmen/com/women/vote/44_country_women.html. The best defense of your argument is the Dixie Chicks -- and they still have longhaired Emily Erwin. Man, you guys take this seriously.

Hitler had short hair, and look at the evil things he did.

Gord,

Do we really have to play this game? Of all the women you mentioned, aside from Trisha Yearwood and Shania, I don`t think any of those women have had a hit since Bush was President (I mean the dad, not the son). Anyways, what does it matter? Please, can you make a legitamate, serious argument correlating the length of a woman`s hair and how good or bad their music is? Just take a deep breath and repeat after me....

All short hair is not bad...
All short hair is not bad...
All short hair is not bad...
All short hair is not bad...

Done? All better? No? Didn`t think so! Take it easy...

ssjockey

P.S. as for comparing Martina McBride to Martina Hingis, I`m surprised that I didn`t see some crack about how she is a better Tennis player with long hair than she is with short hair! ;)

When LeeAnn`s first CD came out her hair was basically chin length, and she had a bunch of hits off of that one. It was shoulder length when her second CD came out, and a little bit longer than that when her third and latest CD came out. It`s possible that she was wearing extensions, but I don`t think she was.

I do like the length on her, but I wish she kept the original color.

I was a bit disappointed Martina McBride wasn`t on the show. Last time I saw her her hair was getting noticeably longer and I wanted to see if the trend continued.

I just saw Martina Mcbride on a CMT commercial and her hair has gotten pretty long. I only saw it for a second and I actually didn`t recognize her at first. It looked like her hair was in long layers a little below her shoulders. The reason I didn`t recognize her was because her hair was a much darker brown than I`ve seen on her. I liked it a lot, but it was kind of flat looking. But then again I only saw her for a second. I looked for a picture, but I couldn`t find one.
