I`ve noticed that nothing has happened in the world of celebrity hair for what seems like months. This doesn`t seem possible. Is it possible that the psychological factors that cause an individual to effect a "makeover" are diminised in either a) recessions or b) political upheaval and crisis as experienced on September 11? In short, are people caught up in the world around them to an extent that they are forgoing personal considerations such as "makeovers"? I`m posting this in light of the fact that nothing is going on in the world of hair. I believe that my theory (if we call it that) is further evidenced by the increase of either fake haircut postings or people posting haircuts that are in fact styles pulled back-wishful thinking cuts. I would appreciate hearing from anyone that could help shed light on this.

There could also be a trend towards long hair. If thats the case then people are letting their hair grow out.

In the hair cutting trade it is the slowest in Jan. Feb. March it starts to pick up it has always been like that for me. I`ve always blamed it on the winter months here in Canada. People seem to come alive in the spring.

I agree pcs. I hope something begins soon re: new styles. You may have a point on the looking outside themselves for awhile. I also think it might be combined with what the others have said too. Maybe the trend is long right now? Maybe when we get further into spring?
