I`m just watching the Emmy awards, and three things about hairstyles tonight:

1. Debra Messing-absolutely beautiful woman who`s hairdo tonight really doesn`t do anything for her. It`s not really loose, not really pulled back, just sort of there.

2. Maura Tierney as a semi-blonde: all I can say is that whoever is giving her advice about her hair better not be giving her career advice, or she`s in deep trouble.

3. Amy Brennerman: growth since last season`s Judging Amy is amazing. Now a bit past shoulder length, looks better than I`ve ever seen it. She definitely should avoid the scissors at all costs.

So far, nobody else really strikes me as especially interesting.

Haven`t seen the Emmys, but Maura Tierney`s hair was blonde (but not very blonde) in the film Liar Liar a few years ago, and it looked pretty good to me.
