Oh my hair is beinging to annoy the *** out of me! Anyone else every get that insane urge to chop it all off just to stop the tickeling, knots, blowdrying, split ends? It almost feels like hair suicide, you can`t take it any more and want to end it all!

What`s wrong with that urge. You could ignore it but you don`t have to. If you get it a lot perhaps there`s something to that. Just something to think about. People give into urges all the time. It`s not always a bad thing.
Yeah people give into urges: crack additc, alcoholics, chain smokers, nymphomaniacs... No I wont be giving into this urge I`ve put too much time, money, and hard work into to my hair to just chpo it off on a whim!

Omg... I feel like I want to get my hair trimmed alot because of the split ends. But then I think of all the hard work I put into it every month just for 1/2 an inch! grr it makes me so mad! Only problem is.. I can`t get rid of the split ends unless I get them trimmed off. So I`m damned if I do and damned if I don`t! (sorry for the cussing if it offends anyone)
yeah, quickie suggestion: use something on your ends to make the split ends look nicer and comb out easier. (I use that V05 hair grease or Redken Moist Ends, depending on how dry it looks that day)
(and loreal nutrivive conditioner rocks for easy-to-comb, soft hair. and it`s Cheap.)
I think that if you can make the hassle go away, the hair stops bothering you, and it will grow. (and trim your own split ends, one at a time. Don`t let anyone else cut your hair more than once or twice a year, and only then just to get it evened up.)
Well, I`ve been keeping it braided or in a pony tail for the last week, and its helping a little bit, but it makes me mad that I can keep my pretty hair down and wehere everyone can see it.
Hey guys! I got my hair trimmed about 4 days ago! My hair is sooo soft and shiny right now. What I`ve been doing is washing and conditioning my hair as normal everyday and then letting it air dry most of the way. Then I take and bend over at the waist and blow dry my hair on a low setting.. but keep the blow dryer pretty far away from my hair and keep it moving. Then I`ll flip back over and take one of those big brushes you can blow dry into and blowdry my hair under. Just remember to always make sure you keep the blowdryer moving and make sure its pretty far away from your head so it doesn`t burn your hair! I haven`t been curling my hair at all... so I got rid of one of my bad "sins" that I do to my hair. yay (o: I`m hoping that not using the curling iron and using the blow dryer sparingly will help to not get so many split ends then I don`t have get it trimmed so much!

Keep going, at least you can do stuff with it, try finding some new ways to wear it up or get yourself a special salon do for when you go out this weekend - then you`ll remember that your hair can look pretty up as well as down! Mine is a bit shorter than yours and I can`t wait till I can do ok braids and ponytails so you`re not too badly off!!

Ladykera, What sort of braid do you manage? Can you do a french braid or do you start quite near the nape? If you can do a decent french braid I reckon a picture would look good on your website and keep us `shorties` looking forward to at least when we are at your length!!
I can get it into a french braid. When I start at the nape of my neck I can get it into about two inches of briad. I can also do two braids, one on each side, then connect them at the nap of my neck and make a little tiny bun. The only time i really do braids if when I`m in uniform... but that`s every other day so I get lots of practice with it! I sugest braiding "day old" hair, my hair is too soft and slick when it`s freshly washed. (As if there is such a thing as too soft!!) I`ll see what i can do about getting a pic of my hair in braids.
