Is it healthy hair? If not, I would cut it. If you do decide to cut it, and you hate it, you could laways pull it back into a bradi or something until it grows back.

Definetly! It is good to try new things. Cutting your hair to mid-back will still leave it quite long, & sometimes you need a little refresher. Don`t be afraid, to experiment. It can always grow back. Plus, since age 5?!?! Come on, what are you waiting for?

Why not. It`s not huge change. If you happen to have split ends etc it will give it a change to correct everything. It might feel a bit strange thought. I had it done but at the time it wasn`t my choice but a stylist that wasn`t experience and at the time I felt that it was a bit easier to handle but at the same time I felt nude yet noone notice that my hair was shorter. I think if you are really not sure about your decision cut a little less. Play safe and there won`t be any regrets.

If your hair is damaged I`d say cut it but if your bored instead of cutting the length try slicing a long angle on the sides. My hair is about an inch above my waist and I had my hairdresser do that. I have it sorta like Mya, it adds style without losing length.

just a personal opinion but it would be a shame to cut long hair like that. I also like the fact that it`s been the same since you were 5 - we don`t need to change! How about experimenting with braids, twists and buns instead?

No, don`t cut it! I am pretty sure you will regret it. Besides, you hair is a part of you. If you cut it off, you know you will be crying, and probably will hate it. That would be like losing an arm or something lol.
Long, red, slightly wavy hair. Trying to go grow very long! It`s about 3.75in. from my belt now :)

I think it`s amazing that everyone has such strong opinions, yet no one has asked why you want to cut it! And no one (at least that has admitted it) has seen it, either.
Why would you ask a group of complete strangers whether or not you should cut your hair, when you have given them no information on which to base their opinions?
Hello, Actually, as I read through the other posts, I was wondering that myself. Why do you wish to cut it? Is it that you are just ready for a change? Perhaps a new hairstyle without the cut is in order if you wish to keep the length, but as for cutting, I am afraid I can offer no advice except that you should think about it a little more before doing so. I hope that whatever you decide makes you feel good about your hair. Good luck with your decision, Karen Marie http://www.angelfire.com/wv2/wuvie/STRESSLESS.html

This is to the person who thought my post was "Quite Odd" Well the posting went on the long hair support message thread. And it was to get suggestions on if more people like mid-length or waist length. And obviously it is healthy because it has grown to waist length. So, anyone who would think it was "Quite odd" is really to paranoid. It was merely to get an opinion.
