Color Disaster! Help Me!!!!

I had dyed my hair for years, and as of last August, decided to grow it out to my natural color, which I successfully did (a nice, light golden brown). But being the impulsive idiot that I am, I went to a local salon yesterday to have my hair colored one shade darker than my natural color. The stylist said no problem, and I specifically said I did not want red tones. Well, my hair is now a dark dark brown, that looks really red in the sun. As I was sobbing and sobbing, my mom called the salon and they said they could fix the problem, (she explained to them how the color turned out). My question is, can they get me back close to my natural color, and get out the red tones? My appointment is on Saturday, but in the meantime I need advice and reassurance.
