Want good at-home highlights?

I just high-lighted my hair at home & it turned out great!! Thought I would share the good news & product info. I have hi-lighted a lot on my own & usually I need to bleach (with kit) and then put a toner on to get the right color. Well, this time I used a different product: L`oreal creme highlights for color treated hair. Well, I put quite a few highlights in & the color is actually very good, and so I don`t have to tone over it! I was thrilled. I think the trick was the timing. I usually left it on so long (45 mins) because I have med to dark brown hair which leaves it so pale white you need to tone. But this time I followed the directions (what a concept!) and only left it like 25-30 mins. Anyway FYI!! :) :)
