QuoteReplyTopic: Perming gone wrong, I want to chop it off!! Posted: April 15 2004 at 11:19pm
Here's how it went
I bought a home perm and some perming rods and I had a friend do the perm. We ran out of perming rods so I got the idea to do 2 perming sessions. Use the existing rods to perm sections of hair, and then reuse them on the straight parts.
As you can guess, my hair didn't turn out well with my idiotic idea. It's now frizzy and flies everywhere .
What should I do? Relax it and then reperm? Will my hair fall out? I really want to reperm, but my friend had her hair fall out as a child by reperming permed hair.
Please help me before I go and do something stupid like chop it all off.
The best thing you can do is get some good conditioning products - the Infusium 23 stuff is meant to be good, and give you hair some TLC for a little while (a week or so - just keep it tied back with leave in conditioner in it to reduce the frizz)... Then if you can afford to, go to a hairdresser to see if they can help you out... Otherwise, just keep on conditioning and using leave-ins to try and reduce the frizz. Try getting John Frieda's frizz ease.
