Straightening Curly Hair

I live in Sydney Australia. My Dad is African American and my Mum is white Australian, so you can imagine the type of hair I have. It's curly, with fuzz around the face. I've tried so many products and the only way I can get it straight is if I go to a Salon and they blow dry it straight. After it's towel dried they apply a product called Paul Brown Straightening Lotion. It's actually from Hawaii. It's great too, if you've washed your hair and want to give it a treatment. Just apply, brush through with a wide tooth come and blow dried in small sections. I get my hair chemically straightened every 8 months with the Paul Brown Solution at a Salon. It's the best one I've come across. Good Luck.

I have just made an appointment to have my hair chemically straightened with the Paul Brown solution, and I'm very nervous. I have curly hair, and I want it to soften the curls into looser waves. At all costs, I'd like to avoid damaging my hair... Has the Paul Brown method damaged yours at all? Thank you...

I have straightened my hair with the Paul Brown solution you mentioned. I have great results from it. My hair is shiny, soft, frizzless, and I take out about 70% of the curl. I like the results I get. I can either blow it straight in half the time it used to take. OR I can let it dry naturally for a very light wave effect. I do this in the summer so I can give my hair a break from blow drying.
