My daughter is 6 and has med. to long straight blonde hair, she loves to have it styled, we usually put it up in foam rollers and have her sleep on it overnight, this turns out very pretty and the curls tend to stay in all day, I am wanted to try "rag tying" but have not found out how, if anyone knows how this is done and can assist a lost mother please reply, also if you know of some quick hair styles for my daughter please reply, she is not the everyday ponytail girl she wants it done up "really pretty mommy" ha ha .. I have also thought of getting it permed but am unsure if she is to young for this and if it would permanetly hurt her hair.

Sincerly, Judy

Ok, I used to put my hair in rags before I went to bed, do I know how to do it =) Depending on how long her hair is, find about 15 or so rags (clean). Make sure they are about 10 inches long or so, and about 2 inches wide. hold the rag horizontally, and put the ends of a small bunch of hair on it. Fold the bottom of the rag up, to keep her hair from falling out. next, start rolling the rag up until it is close to her head. Grab the two ends and tie them together. It may take a few tries. Wow, if that is too confusing, ill try again...i wish i had pictures. it sounds like a lot of work, but it works well. do it when her hair is damp, but not soaking wet. sleep on them and in the morning they will be done.
An easier way is socks. find some small (clean) socks and hold it horizontally. put the ends of a small bunch of hair in it, fold it up, and roll. instead of tying it, take the open end of the sock, hold it open, and push her hair thru.

Tell me if it orks

HI! I have had naturally curly hair all my life..very thick too. Well I was around 5 or 6 when my Godmother got a perm and my mom wanted to try it out on me...well we did, and my hair is still very healthy AND VERY CURLY!! hehe! There`s no problem with her age & getting a perm..I`m sure she will enjoy it!! Also about the hair styles..a fav one of mine is a pony tail with two single curls on either side of my face..it`s a sophisicated look that the lil one might enjoy! Good luck!
even though i`m a dumb blonde...my
long curly hair gets lots of attention after
the dumb blonde jokes stop! :-)
