Hi! I have really curly hair which I battle with my straightener but I can`t get rid of my frizz! I either end up with curly frizzy hair or straight frizzy hair. Can anyone help??

I have the same problem! I really feel for you :-)

My stylist completely sold me on this straigtening iron that really works!! It`s called "Hot Tools Professional." I don`t know where you live, but I got it at Avanti Dezign in N. Providence, RI. (401) 353-1100. It`s the only thing (besides my stylist) that will get my thick, curly, frizzy hair to be straight.

The steps:
While your hair is wet, use a straightening gel (I use Lanza`s Straight and Smooth). Then, I put my hair up in a towel for 10-20 minutes to let most of the water out of my hair. (My stylist showed me that trick, it reduces frizz.) Then, using a good, strong brush, blow dry your hair as straight as you can. It`s easiest to do it in sections. Your hair will probably still be frizzy, that`s where the flat iron comes in. Separate your hair into small sections and use the iron to straighten and de-frizz the sections. After your hair is straight and smooth, use a laminate like Sabastion`s Laminates or Physique`s Smoothing Lotion.

It takes me about an hour for the whole process, so I leave it for a few days before washing it again.

Let me know how it works for you!

I can totally relate to the whole frizzy hair nightmare, and I think the best conditioner I`ve used so far is the leave-in conditioner by Schwarzkopf - I can`t remember the exact name, but it`s a grey tube with a pink cap. Hope this helps!
