My hair is fluffy (hence my alias on HB forum), curly (but not enough to be left alone by me, lol) and won`t seem to do ANYTHING except curl in its own half-hearted way.

My haircut is blunt, collar bone length. When I leave it to dry on its own, it creates semi-curls which like to disassemble and fluff up, creating a pyramid shape.

Is there any haircut that might flatter my hair type???

Thanks. ;)

Hi Fluffy,
I think we have exactly the same hair! My suggestion is to find someone with hair type similar to yours with a "do" you like and find out where they get it styled. In my experience, a good hairstylist is a MUST with curly hair...they need to be creative and try different products too. They mainly need to be good with curly hair and not everyone is. Good luck!

It is very hard to find a good stylist. All stylist I have dealt with haven`t ever dealt with hair like mine and they have no clue what to do. My suggestion is to get your hair cut a little above shoulder length (when curly not wet, then you`re hair would be really really short) and get some long layers. That`s what I recently had them do and at first it was hard to style but once I got the hang of it it sort of resemble Julia Roberts hair in the Mexican. Kind of big and curly but really kind of cute. Lots of work though.

actually, if you want to keep your hair longer, you need to get rope or vertical layers cut into your hair. this keeps the shape from being a pyramid. I suggest styling your hair while it`s wet with a good product and scrunching it for a little while. Let it air dry, and see how it turns out.

oh, also your face shape has a lot to do with how the cut looks. If you have a really round face, do not get it cut short. if yo have a square, long face, a bob looks great. If you have a pear or heart shaped face, then you need bangs and a ,mid-length style. If you have a triangle or diamond face-um I`m not too sure but you can look it up in the magazines! hahaha!
