Normally, I would suggest using Sleepers curlers to get lots of natural curls without chemicals but I recently discovered a product that works even better. Check out www.heatcap.com I have used this product on a friend and can tell you the curls last for almost 2 days and it won`t harm your hair. Really a terrific product that works faster than hot rollers. I suggest you use a silk bonnet over the curlers before putting the heatcap on. The old standby of rag curlers will produce terrific curls without chemicals too. I have gotten very good results with rag curlers - nice sausage curls on long hair and loose to very curly on shorter hair. Marci`s Retro Style has a nice discussion of the technique (http://www.geocities.com/Wellesley/2457/) - look under "Setting Techniques". I got tired of cutting towels into strips and bought some Sleepers hair curlers. I like them because they come in different sizes for different size curls. However, I see their web site has been sold. They were very similar to what they sell here (http://www.markgarrisonsalon.com/candy.html). I know someone that bought the Wrap, Snap & GO! curlers off TV (http://www.asontv.com/products/997146196.html) and they work well too - same principle as the strips of cloth but they click together. Rag curlers are fun and work well but I really like that Heatcap for long-lasting curls. Happy curling and have a great holiday!

what`s a curoso curler??
and can someone explain this little part to me please?

Starting at the front, section off a lock. Place the rag at the top of the section, letting enough of one side of the rag hang down next to the lock. The end of the rag should be a little longer than the lock. Twist the end of the rag and the tress together and then simply tie the ends of the rag in a loose knot. It is important that the end of the lock of hair isn`t sticking out.

i`m sorry but i`m only in grade 8 and my english isn`t all that great (i`m on my 4th year in canada!)

Your English is fine. It is hard to explain rag curlers in words - much easier to do in pictures or a video. They mean that since you are going to tie the rag ends in a knot, just be sure to leave enough rag to make the knot. The tighter you roll your hair around the rag the tighter your curls will be. The Caruso Molecular Curler is a good product and produces very nice long-lasting curls using steam (similar to the process used by the Heatcap). I have found some for sale on eBay and you can see a picture of them at http://vogueboutiques.com/left.htm They were quite popular a few years ago and it possibe someone you know already has a set. The good thing about them is you can get different size rollers for it and the steam won`t damage your hair. Any more questions just ask. Happy Holidays!!

Exactly. The rag will stay because you put a knot in it. Here is another site that discusses the process - it is for dancers but the procedure is exactly the same. See if this clears it up for you. http://members.tripod.com/EMFriend/ahair.html Once you get the knack, this can be a fun thing to do. Happy curling!!
