just got perm- way too big and puffy

I have always had straight hair. It was really nice and i always got compliments on my style, but i needed a change and my hair was getting damaged from the constant heat from straightners. So about 2 days ago i got a medium perm. My hair is so curly and even with mousse it gets so big and puffy. I don`t want to use gel, so to keep the curls i use john frieda hair serum. I just don`t know what to do. I want the curls to get flatter, but my hair is pretty thick. Will my curls die down since I just got it? SHould i remove the perm or just wait it out for a few days. I really need help i dont know what to do!

Since you have always had straight hair, the change to curls may just take a few days to get used to. Give it a little time, it will relax a bit on its own.
