There`s this girl she`s older than me and i basically think of her as my role model. She`s a really great person and has alwayz been nice to everybody. I have alwayz especially liked her hair. It is perfect!! The curls are spirals and their like tight but not to tight, and it`s blonde so it looks really good. So I am going today to get my hair to look just like her`s but I`m afraid that i`ll come out looking like a foxy cleopatra played by beyonce knolls on austin powers. When getting perms is this an thing that happens often that people don`t get the perm that they want?? J/K cause that`s not what i want to happen. ANd can u perm permed hair if it doesn`t come out right??

Hi, Good questions! Speaking from the experience of many perms, yes ... there is always a chance it won`t come out precisely how you want. But my experience has been that as long as I was with a stylist that has lots of experience and in particular a lot with perms, that it usually turns out beautifully (and is your regular stylist that knows your hair well)!

I have had to have a perm, "repermed" before and it`s pretty hard on your hair, but I always had my hair in great shape before getting the perm in the first place. Still, lots of conditioner is in your future if that happens:-) By the way, I have thick, coarse wavy hair.

Good luck and let us know how it turns out!

You should start conditioning your hair a couple weeks before you perm it. A perm can be hard on the hair. Go to the stylist who will do the perm and ask her for suggestions and pre perm conditioner. She`ll help you out. It`s best to start with healthy hair. Also don`t let her lose track of the time. You remind her about the time. Thats the killer with perms. When she wraps your hair; you may want to use the big big perm rods. Just some suggestions.
Let me know how it turns out.
