Hi everyone. I just wanted to share something that I found out long ago.
Hair Care Products for African Americans
Let me explain. Im mixed black and white. I have relaxed (yet still curly) hair just below my shoulders. After age 10 it was just me and my mom. My white didnt know what to do with my hair mom. LOL So I suffered until i finally took the advice of a lot of my black friends to start playing with black hair care products. My hair has thanked me for it lol I always thought that they would be to heavy for my hair and some were but a lot wernt. I have also passed this on to my caucasion friends who have thick curly hair. And they are happy with the results.
Motions Lavish Conditioning shampoo is the best shampoo there is. Because of this shampoo i only need to condition once or twice a week.
Motions CPR or Motions Moisture plus conditioner. Good to leave on your hair with a cap while in the shower or tub. I also add Hot Six Oil to this.
Moisture Max Hair Lotion. If you dont get carried away with this stuff its not heavy or oiley.
Infusium 23 in a spray bottle. Not a black hair care product but one that everyone should use!
I just started using wild growth so i cant say for sure if i like it or not but time will tell :) If your hair is fine then these might not work for you. Whats cool about all of these products is that if you go to Sallys or a black hair care store you can get the larger bottles that will save you money in the long run. I hope this helps someone who maybe thought about trying these products but wasnt sure where to start!
I use the motions line on my 7 year old daughter`s hair. We also love it. Hot Six oil is just fabulous and even smells good. I also rub my cuticles with it and my heels.
