I`m a bit confused on this. In John Frieda`s Summer hair gel spary (don`t know the exact name) one of the ingredients is Sea Salt. It`s suppose to curl up hair. But does it really? Doesn`t the salt in ocean water dry hair?

I know that for a fact that from the curly girl book that sea salt is good for your curly hair... and it says that you shouldn`t hurry to get it out of your hair. so my guess is that it will not dry hair. sorry if I`m mistaken.

Hey all.

I used the John Frieda Relax Ripple Effect too, which is the hair spray you all are talking about.
My hair is relaxed, but the spray did work and it made my hair wavy and curly.
Unfortunately, my stylist said that it was fighting my relaxer and that whenever my hair is wet, it will not lay straight like it used to. I don`t use it anymore. Now, I just use gel and sometimes moose with the gel. But, it did exactly what it said it would do. I not only got waves, but I got curls too.

Oh yeah, and it does have sea salt it in. I think that`s why you have to shake it up so much, because the ingredients will just float in the middle and near the bottom somewhere.

Oops. I thought you all were talking about the Ripple Effect. But that does have sea salt in it too.
