QuoteReplyTopic: straighten male hair Posted: July 13 2003 at 9:10am
I am a male and I have curly hair that booths up so at the moment I have been just putting gel in it to keep it not doing that, When I get a hair cut its normally just short spikes and then 2 weeks later its bad again. If I went to a stylist would they be able to straighten it, as it would probably fix it. Im probably going to get it done black then and not too big spikes as I gotta keep my job but long enough :). And how much is it normally as I am just in a traineeship and Im not earning much till next year. Im from Australia but any price would be good so I know hat Im expecting..
G'day Punk, You can have your hair chemically straightened. You can find a lot of information about getting your hair chemically straightened on this board. Do a search and you will find everything you wanna know. I have done it and it makes wonders to the hair. If you are interested I can tell you where you can go to have it done in Australia, Sydney. I used to live in Australia. You can either send me a bMail but you will have to register first or you can send me an e-mail. amaamm@yahoo.com Cheers Orc
Thanks, but I live in melbourne, I might get it done at a place near me as it has a nice sign saying thank you for voting us best hair salon in the community or so. Maybe you could tell me how much it is going to cost.
Well, the one I went to was 30 minutes by train out side the city centre so of course it was cheaper than the salons in the city. It cost around AUD$75.00 with a haircut. Please do your homework before you do it. There are a lot of horror stories on the board but don’t let them change your mind. My hair has been burnt twice but after the chop it comes out fine. There is as well a lot of helpful info about taking care of the hair after it has been straightened/relaxed. I have used ARTec Texturesmooth while living in Australia and it was wonderful; no damage or burns. Good luck and please let us know how you go.
Thanks for the info, I went to 3 salons and they told me not to as my hair grows fast n it will just grow out, So i ended up just getting it cut short n spiky Looks ok, better than my last cut!
