When I first started this wave game, I didn't have a clue about waves. I just went to the store and got Scurl 360 just because it said 360 on it. I used it but I didn't know anything, then I came on this forum and got them spinning. The problem is that it seems that I'm working so hard to get my waves spinning but when I first started, it wasn't hard at all. I never was brushing for hours a day. Any suggestions on how I could get my hair back like this?? (you see the lil scurls or waves, I like that)...

u kno wat jigga i was thinkin bout that thought u have......u hav 2 WANT waves 2 get them n all......but i think if we ALWAYS r brushin 4 hours upon hours dem dat might b somehow hampering our success......i dun kno.....i got sum friends that r spinnin but u NEVA c them brushin during tha day in skool....then u got sum other brothas wit a brush ALWAYS in their hand and yea they spinnin, but not as hard.......i think we b overdoin it wen we b brushin and brushn, and brushin, and brushin.....i dun kno, its juss a thought
hsha yeah mane ull neva see me brushin at school, i jus look at my self in da mirro dats about it, i barely brush when im at home too, I jus brush in da shower and brush for like 2 mins when i get out den put on da du rag and when i take it off i dont touch my hair, i jus lit it spin

I think that all the brushing is somehow over doing it. You got cats like n1k3 who don't brush for hours and he's spinnin hard. I think the key to getting waves is taking care of your hair. As long as you maintain your hair your waves will come.

yea....lik i only brush wen im in the shower, puttin in pink oil, n pomade thats about it. i'll sumtimes brush in skool 4 a touch up but dats usually on my right side of my head cuz theres hardly newaves there so i'll brush it here n there if it looks a lil messed up but besides dat i dun ova do it......i think u gotta brush but overdoin it wont help at all
I forgot the brush I used, I don't think it was the Fade or maybe it was. Back then I wasn't wearing stocking caps, I was duraggin' it. I might switch back to durags but I hate the lines. Stocking caps hold my hair down good but it do mess up my hair a lil when I take it off.

yes, i think it was the fade also. I remeber when we post posted we had the same brushes.. dunno if that was ur 1st though but it was along time ago ;]

yea, I was thinking bout going 10 weeks without a cut like BlackFate. But right now I'm settling for 6 weeks and I'll see at that time if I wanna go more than 6. I'm starting on week 2 right now and I like the way it's looking so far.
its gonna b a arduous 10 months for me......thats y i switch up pomade every 2 weeks, 2 keeps it laid down u kno......but if its for perfect crisp waves then imma do it......im on week 3 right now....juss copped sum murrays n imma use it 2night........but everythin is juss gonna seem lik 2nd place afta nu nile.....wish me luck
