hey, i'm 13 and when school starts i would like to have a new style. My hair is super frizzy and poofy AND curly and it stinks! it's blond and everyone i know says it's really a nice color, wich is good because my parents won't let me dye it, but i don't like how it is all together. i need help! i need to have a style that i can do in an hour in the morning so it's ready when school starts. i've tryed loads of things, but they don't work very well and i wondered if anybody had styling tips or styles for curly frizzy blond hair or a style i could get when i cut it later or anything about this type of hair i could use. ANYTHING AT ALL!!!!!!!

Thank You SOOOOO Much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How long is your hair when it's curly? What is your texture, fine or coarse? Your hair can be frizzy but fine-textured so don't automatically assume it's coarse. Dry or oily hair?

Most frizzy hair is dry already. If so, there is no need to wash your hair everyday; i wash every 3 or 4 days, depending. Use a gentle, non-drying shampoo and try one of the shampoos that promise smooth hair, like "L'Oreal Vive Smooth Intense", it won't straighten but rids some frizzies. Always condition, even if it's only the ends, and deep condition weekly. Don't rub your hair dry after the shower, only squeeze out excess water and then comb thru.

Apply products to wet to damp hair. I use John Frieda's Wind Down cream and a Mega Hold gel by Tresseme. (i know, some of you reading this have heard all of this before!) It takes a bit of experimenting to find the right combination of products on your hair. Also depends on the length of your hair, i used completely different products when my hair was short. When you dry your hair, air dry when possible but if you need to use your blowdryer, use a diffuser attachment. The REAL diffuser attachment that looks like a bowl with "fingers" in the middle. This will help keep down the frizz when blowdrying and always dry on LOW. Avoid playing with your hair after it's fixed because this will make it frizzier.

I hope this helped a bit, i know i had a REALLY hard time with my hair when i was your age, dang hormone changes! Be sure to supply us with more info on your hair, doing so will help others inform you better!
CO wash only since September '04! Dyed red botticelli curls (3b), fine and just past shoulder length
