The Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome Association is anon-profit organization gearing up for an amazing fashion event and gala dinner on Saturday, October 18 at The Marriott Perimeter Center in Atlanta, GA to benefit women with PCOS ( Polycystic Ovary Syndrome)!

This event will be hosted by plus-sized models, Katie Arons, publisher of Extra Hip Magazine and runway and print model and Stephanie Zehr, spokesmodel and columnist for BBW Magazine and Tulin Patriquin, plus sized model and marketing specialist for Kiyonna Clothing.

Up to 15 million women and girls worldwide have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome(PCOS), a complex hormonal disorder related to diabetes for which there is no cure and which is the #1 cause of infertility in women. PCOS causes devastating short term effects such as weight gain or obesity, infertility, acne, irregular menstrual cycles, male patterned baldness, and excess facial and body hair growth. Long-term effects include type 2 diabetes, cancer and heart disease. Because of the PCOS patients inability to process insulin, about 85% of women with PCOS are plus-sized.
