QuoteReplyTopic: washing "against the grain"? Posted: November 15 2004 at 4:02pm
aite yall i know im supposed to "never break my wave pattern". Does that mean when im washing my hair with shampoo i cant rub my dome against the grain? (for example rubbing the top of my head backwards) And does that apply for when i rub in pomade as well?
Good lookin, ahead of time.

i beleive in that 2 i never brake my pattern always wash ur hair with grain and i would recommend brushing in the shower, and DONT EVER RUB POMADE IN UR HAIR AGAINST THE GRAIN.
waves and not brushin dats a oxymoron not brushin, u must be a moron
i think its ok cuz if ur washin with da grain den ur not really cleanin yo hair.. if u actually rub ur hair den ur gettin down with the dirt and ish. u know? If u washin forward den ur just pushin da dirt and oil back into ur hair and not actually pushin all out.
IF I GOT MURRAYS OR A POMADE THAT I KNOW WON'T WASH OUT EASILY...THEN I WILL WAS AGAINST THE GRAIN...THERES REALLY NUTTIN WRONG WIT IT....BEEN DOIN IT FOR YEARS...AFTER THAT I STILL BRUSH WHIL I'M IN DA SHOWER
that is perfectly normal just dont get too crazy with it as soon as i get through i rub my pattern in like jigga said that is the only way to get those pomades and moisturizers out. but the number rule is to never ever break your pattern, holla.
