I recently cut my hair because I want it to grow back in healthier and hopefully thicker than before. I have stop applying harsh heat to it daily, oil and condition it and wrap it at night. Is there something else I should do? How do you take care of your hair?

I can definitely relate because I just did the same thing. I wanted to rid myself of perms and I eventually want to grow dreads, so now I sport a natural of about 2 inches of new growth. I am still figuring it out myself. I think it`s best to figure out what works best for your hair through trail and error and asking. Personally my first thing was to check my products. I realized a lot of products that I used to use don`t work for my natural. They also contained alcohol, sulfate, and other chemicals that dried my hair out. I am eliminating all chemicals from my haircare. I suggest aubrey-organic products. website: www.aubrey-organics. Or check out asantehair.com, they have a good line as well. Just make sure you`re washing and conditioning your hair with a Moisturizing shampoo, use light oils and wrap it up at night. I also take hair vitamins to help speed the growth process. Oh and remember to keep a good trim, natural hair can still get spilt ends too. that`s all!

Excessive brushing or combing causes split ends.
