Any Guys here who had long hair as kids

Dear members,

There is a lot of argument and misunderstanding of moms who have kept their sons hair very long. Most of the responders to my previous thread believe that moms are forcing their sons to keep their hair long.

If any of you guys here have had long hair as a kid, Can you share with us whether your moms forced you to have long hair or was it entirely your choice.

For several years in my teens I had "long" hair (about shoulder-length). But before that, it was very short. In my teens I was permitted to wear it as long as it got. My mother didn`t encourage it, if anything she reined it in. This was during the 1970s when long hair on boys was more prevalent, and I always wore it loosely.
