Hey, im looking to get some cornrows and want to the know the lowest possible hair length that can be braided into conrows. Some people say anything from a 1 inch and up and others say 2 inch, and yet still others say 4 inches. My friend has cornrows and said his hair is only 1 inch or little more. So can some hairbraider out there help me?

I too have been wondering for the longest, here is your answer.

At least 1 and 1/2 can be braided, but it would quickly grow out and slip and be very VERY difficult to braid.

Your best bet is to wait until your hair is at least 4 inches.

yes i'd wait for atleast 4 or more for sure...i've braided 4 inches and that was a little difficult. sometimes it just depends on the braider......

yeah it depends on the braider.  some braiders can pick up next to nothing and still have your cornrows looking fresh--then some need a lil more hair to work with.
