Hello,
What is a good pomade or gel that I can use? I need one that is not to heavy or strong, just provides flexible hold, leaves your hair shiny, smoothes the edges, and doesn`t make your hair look dirty? My hair is about medium length, cut in a bob, and I like to use pomade/gel to smooth the edges or make bangs. I have found that pomade for me is better than gel, because it doesn`t leave the hair as hard. But, the ones I`ve tried usually are too greasy, sticky, or they leave buildup. I welcome any recommendations, thanks...
My husband has dreads. They started off as short twists. He keeps the roots of his hair twisted. I found a light wax with medium hold. It is by "d:fi"... It is spelled just like that. I got it at Trade Secrets. It doesn`t have build up and gives his hair a nice shine and holds without looking greasy or dirty. It has a nice smell, too. I usually retwist or some say redefine his dreads after he washes them. I apply this wax. It isn`t a daily routine. Also, if you are wanting a verstile look I think it is pretty good. I use it on my hair and my son`s hair, too. I have short hair like a boy. I wet my hair and apply the wax and it holds nicely in a curly style. It smells like lemons and stays fresh lookin. I think you can also find this wax at Super Cuts. To me this wax acts and feels more like a pomade rather than a wax. It isn`t heavy and doesn`t weigh the hair down.
