I have been getting 1inch per month, I stopped perming my hair in February 2002 and my hair measures 5 inches, that is a combination of vitamins, eating more vegetables, drinking more water and exercising 4-5 times a day, swimming twice a week. I have started rinsing on a daily basis for a two weeks, now so I should least wait a month, to see if the rinsing makes any difference, I would like to boast my growth to 2 - 3 inches per month.

When you say rinsing, do you mean a color rinse, or do you mean just washing your hair? Wow! Exercising 4-5 times a day? Everyday? Where do you find the time?
Wow Cassandra, that`s great... good for you. I am also trying to grow out my perm. It has been only three months since my last perm. It seems that my hair takes forever to grow out though. Did you cut the permed ends off. I don`t want to cut mine. And altough I have new growth I am not exactly sure how much. I just know that I feel a wavier texture coming in at the roots. Aside from what you have already shared do you or anyone else have any tips for growing out a perm properly.
