I don`t quite know how to answer the question except "grease" is solid, "oil" is liquid. What are you trying to ask? The benefits of oil over grease? Or just how they are different? I hope I was able to answer your question at least somewhat.
Hey francina, There is a MAJOR difference between grease and oil. Grease should never be used on any one's hair. The main base ingredient in greases are petrolium and/or mineral. Petrolium alone is hazardous it's used in gasoline for god's sake. Mineral oil is very cheap to use that's why you'll find it so many oils and creams and greases. when you have mineral oil on your hair and apply heat it's similiar to cooking bacon, seriously. Mineral oil does not penetrates the hair shaft instead it coats the hair which attracts dust. The end result you'll have dull weighed down hair which will eventually break. Our scalp needs to breathe, products should never be applied directly to the scalp unless it's specified. Grease will only clog your pores. When you use oil you should only apply to the hair close to the root, the oil spread on its own. I hope this was helpful.
