Black hair grows just as fast as white peoples hair. The only difference is most black women opt to put relaxer's in their hair in order to manage it better. The relaxer is what weakens the hair and some side effects are breakage of the hair, but our hair still continues to grow at a normal rate.
Do you assume people who wear dreads and afro's are mixed too?

My hair can grow in the middle of my back. Dreads has made my mom hair grow down to her butt, and if it wasn`t for them dreads her hair would still be at her shoulder blade.
Remember, Dreads are one of the keys to long hair growth, so if you see people with long dreads, that`s the dreads. dreads is the one of the best hair growth secret.
