Hello KarmelKitten,
I think it is possible to grow waist-length hair by pressing. Relaxed haired women grow their hair long, yet they add chemicals, plus they still add heat such as curling tongs, blowdrying etc. However, I would be vigilant as to how often you add heat to the hair, make sure your hair is in good condition first. Use a an heat protectant and reputable pressing oil. I personally would'nt add heat to my hair more than twice a month. Since I stopped using a blowdryer I have less breakage, plus my hair is healthier, and does'nt seem to thin out as it grows.

Yes, it is possible to achieve waist length hair by pressing.

But my stylist did it to my former thigh-length hair.

Hi, Brigitte. I just joined this site, and I have pressed hair. What products would you suggest for shampooing, conditioning, and moisturizing in between pressings?
