I tried the Corioliss Professional straightening iron in the mall and it made my hair super straight and shiny with one stroke. My friend's roommate purchased it and she said it made her hair dry but she also didn't know how to use it, and someone else told me that her hair stays stright for 3 days without using it again but the heat reaches 450 degrees or something like that so you have to keep your hair moisterized. the sales lady was a stylist and she said that you don't have to use oil in your hair b/c it uses your hair's natural oils and it's 100% ceramic, which she said doesn't damage your hair. I don't know if I should purchase it though---it does get super straight but does it dry out your hair in the long run and is it worth $99 ($199 retail value)? Sorry, I don't know anything about the Corioliss. I would suggest trying Internet searches for reviews. However, I have the Magnaglide which is also advertised on tv and am very happy with it. You are right to be concerned about the drying effects of hot iron products. One thing I really like abot the Magniglide is the steam moisture feature.
