I want to hightlight my hair and it's dark (light black) I don't know which colors to choose (reds or browns) and I am pretty scared to try any colors and it turns out to be bad so can anyone please help, I can upload my pic anytime on the web so that it'd be easy to tell which color suits me most

Thanks,
Sara

Why don't you get a few extension streaks put in and see how the color suits you?

Just looking for a few good hair slaves - is that too much to ask?

I have the same problem...my hair is dark brown almost black. I want to put a rinse/ semi-permanent hair color in but I can't decide between light brown and/or red...maybe cinnamon or something lighter but I can't decide...should I mix a red and a brown or use orange?

I don't think a rinse can lighten hair. I have dark brown hair and I used a red rinse and it just looks super red in the sun but otherwise it just looks like a tint. It's still not all the way out yet either. I want to get a goldish, bronzish color next.

I know...I want it to be a color in the sun but still a little visible to the naked eye.

Since your hair is dark brown you will only be able to get reddish brown color with any color product. A color rinse, semi-permanent color or Bigen product, it only deposits color and will not lighten your hair at all. I wouldn't suggest doing it yourself as a professional hair colorist knows how hair reacts to color and how to apply it safely and rapidly enough so that it doesn't over process the hair.
Once a rinse has been placed on the hair, you can't lighten the hair unless you use a lightener(bleach) which you definitely shouldn't venture into.
