I've heard alot of good things about hair growth with Surge as long as you mix it with oil before applying. So I splurged and bought some and now I don't know what to do first! I'm about 8 weeks post relaxer, but my new growth is really soft coming in. I'm afraid it will dry out. Can anyone give me some tips for using the stuff?

I recently purchased this also. I going to mix castor oil with this product. Go to ezboard.com and do a search for the black beauty black hair forum and you will find info on this product under the product or hair growth thread. HTH!!!

I don't mix it with anything. I have a sensitive scalp that doesn't respond well to oils or much of anything on it. The surge works because it's watery and doesn't really cause any problems.

A good thing to do would be to part your hair and use a q-tip to apply the surge or surge mix to your scalp.

So I just apply it to my scalp? Do you do this while your hair is wet or can you do it when it's dry? Also, can you style your hair like normal??

Surge has a very high concentration of protein, which can dry your hair out.

If you have hair that responds well to high protein leave ins, feel free to use it.

My hair breaks when I use too much protein, so I keep it on the scalp.

I forgot to add, you can use it one wet and dry hair and style your hair as you normally would. It's basically a watery leave in conditioner.

Thanks, I've also heard that Nexxus Biotin Creme is great for thickness and length and is equal to , if not better than, Surge. It's about 11.00 a small container but it's suppose to be excellent. Any use it?
