..Hi all i have been reading over these boards for a few weeks now and i see that everyone favours shrinkies at the moment.  I however do fusion method with keratin wax.  In some of your posts some of you are saying that eg client has lost 10 extensions in 9 weeks.  Anyway the keratin sticks i use are supper solid (both once in and to remove) but the most i have ever had coming out is about 1 or 2 extensions after nearly 3 months of the customer having them in and even that is rare for me.  I find maybe only 2 in every 10 customers ever have any come out themselves (without customer picking at them).  Could this be that i have just found a super bonding stick?

I used shrinkies but it is very time consuming to take out with out several steps involved.  It would be great to find something that would be quicker and cleaner.

Well, I wasn't under the impression that with hand-fusion, the bonds generally slip out very often (as they can with shrinkies or extendtubes); I've always heard that the bigger problem with hand-fusion is that the individual hairs can actually shed from the bonds, depending on the system used and the installation. If your clients aren't having much shedding, though, you're obviously doing something right.I would stick with the glue you're already using. :)

yeah ill defo stick to the same company im using as i had previously tried some sticks from another company (no names) and the minute the client washed their hair everything fell out and they were dearer sticks too.

Yeah jenny shedding is the only prob though plus with fusion customers need to have new hair put in (touch ups) every 8-12 wks

x

shel, I use prebonded strands that I purchase from a Korean supplier, that are preglued with keratin and I use the heat wand to fuse them. I dont have any issues with loosing strands either. Although I do get a little bit of shedding after about 6 or 8 weeks, nothing major though. I wash, blowdry, curl and generally abuse the crap out of my hair on a daily basis and it surprises me that I dont have more come out!
