I have the same problem with extensions of all kinds--it's kind of a
challenge when you have thin hair and it's really light blonde. You
could just not go as high, but you'll sacrifice volume that way, and it
sounds like you haven't gone too far up. I've found it helpful to tease
the top layers of my hair a bit; it helps to conceal the connections.
Anyway, I'm sure you look gorgeous even if you can see the tubes. I can't wait to see your pics!

Hey ya its like 4 inches from the top of my head...its weird...my hair is just so thin...my extendtubes are medium.they are fine its just i need to figure out how to cover them up better..also..i have the problem that you can still see how long my hair is with my extensions...especially on dark colors....how do i get rid of that...just add more extensions??? ill post a pic when i figure out how!
I hear you--it's the same challenge that's been plaguing me forever....
I'm sure we'll have some suggestions once we see your pics. By the way,
you need to upload your pics to photobucket or imageshack (wherever),
then paste the image-tagged URL right into the message. :)
If you are still noticing some darker strands of your own hair you may need to get a few more extension pieces in that same darker shade to blend it. Send me a picture to Kristin@haircandy.net and I'll check it out for you.
