Small v. Medium Extendtubes

Has anyone noticed a difference between the small and medium extendtubes in terms of the way they hold, or are they about the same? For some reason, I thought the larger they are, the more secure they would probably be, but I'm not sure where I heard that now.

I haven't used extendtubes but Docs rings.  As long as you don't try to shove a medium sized tip into a small tube, I haven't noticed a difference.
