Hello all , I had my hair colored on 3/21/05, the next day I found lumps in my head and they hurt. I know that I have allergies to some violet hair color and I think that is what was used. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what I could do about the lumps I have taken something for the itching. but not sure what to do about the lumps if anything. any info would be helpful.

thanks

roni

I've had good results with taking two Benadryl tablets before going to bed, when I had an allergic reaction before.  It worked with an allergic rash caused by hair dye as well as poison ivy and a rash of unknown origin.  You might have to do it on two or three consecutive nights, if it's a bad rash.
More awesome than a manatee!

Kuroneko is right on about the benadryl, but you really should be super careful about this.. it's not uncommon for allergies like this to go from mild one time to severe the next, so if you *ever* have any type of reaction that involves itching and/or hives all over, or trouble breathing or swallowing, please get yourself to an E.R. immediately because that type of reaction could be life-threatening.
