My hair is really straight naturally. I want to get the perm look, or a really curly look without the actual process. Can you suggest any products that will work well on even straight hair? I usually just scrunch some gel into my hair when it's damp, but I am looking for one that will really pump up the curls.

you could try rolling your wet hair on perm rods before you go to bed. if you need extra hold, put some gel in first. or you could try the caruso steam hair setters. or theres always the good old fashioned curling iron. look for the smallest one possible. 
learn to love what you were born with
you can do anything if you set your mindto it (just dont try this with hair,that could turn out bad)

i have straight hair like u do but to make it curly i

buy those pink foam rollers(theyre pretty cheap)

you have ur hair damp of dry doesnt really matter

put some gel like Aussie dual personalitie gel called: water+gel (its like 3 dollars)

the using the roller just roll it up make sure ur pieces arnt to big and that they have gel on them.

in the maroning take them out and do a quick spray with hair spray on them
