QuoteReplyTopic: Thinning? Posted: March 25 2005 at 10:40pm
My hair is getting longer (finally! yay!) but something I noticed last time it got long was that it seemed to thin out and sort of stick to my head. I do not have thin hair; it is on the regular to slightly thick side and it, for some reason, just started thinning out. I read Dave saying somewhere that your hair naturally looses volume when it gets longer, but a friend with hair just like mine never had that problem with their long hair. What can I do to prevent or help this not happen when my hair gets longer?

So when your hair got longer it stopped growing straight out from your head and started laying flat, right? That's just how it is with most people. My hair is different - no matter how short it was, it always lay flat.

Do you think its just the length of my hair weighing it down? I mean it wasn't even that long... I dunno, it just doesn't look like how it was when it used to be really long like that.

I really think it's just the fact that it weighs more. Most people's hair reaches that point and starts laying down.
I'd guess that when your hair used to be long, you weren't as obsessed with it as you are now. This can make a big difference as to what you notice about your hair. I know it has for me.
