Well I have thick, really thick and wavy hair. I don't straighten it and to blowdry is murder, so I jsut end up with frizzy and really puffy hair whichhas to be tamed down with a ponytail. I want to buy a straightener because I can no loger stand my hair. What do I need to do to make sure my hair has as least damage as possible? What type of products do I need? I'm kinda ignorant on this so any help is greatly appreciated. How often can I straighten my hair? Last of all, I may be buying one from ebay but I am not sure which one to get. Here are the auctions for "ceramic straighteners" based in canada   http://search.ebay.ca/straightner_W0QQsofocusZbsQQsbrftogZ1Q QfromZR10QQsacatZ-1QQfltZ9QQsalicZ2QQftrtZ1QQftrvZ1QQsadisZ2 00QQfposZQ5AIPQ2FPostalQQfsopZ1QQfsooZ1QQcoactionZcompareQQc opagenumZ1QQcoentrypageZsearch Thx.

I hear alot of good buzz on the "Chi" flat irons. They're a bit pricy, but I hear they work and make your hair feel wonderful.

I have used the CHI flat iron but just purchased the SEDU.  The CHI flat iron is really great, however, so far I have found the SEDU works better.  The SEDU is wider than my CHI, is lighter weight, and seems to make my hair look more healthy.  Either product is a good one, IMHO.  The reason I purchased another one is my daughter needed one as I will be taking one on vacation and she didn't want to be without one.  So,,,,thought I would try a different one!  I'm VERY pleased with the SEDU.

I can't seem to find an online place that is based in Canada and supplies the Chi and Sedu. Shipping from the US is murder.

I got the CHI on Ebay for $86.00 plus S&H and I truly love it.  I have two other ones I bought at a beauty supply, but there is no comparison to the Jibere or other cheap ones.

You can purchase on eBay...prices are low today for some reason (bids are close to ending though).

Has anyone ever tried the JDL products? It's the only ones that are available in Canada on ebay. Does anyone know a place that supplies good straightners to Canada, preferably base in Canada? Thx for the replies oh and this is frizzy, I just lost my password and Im not on my home computer at the time.
