Has anyone successful done heat seals other than using Dome
Monofibre, ProHair Fiber and Plastikhaar? I was wondering if
anyone had tried other monofibres, thermofibres or any other
fibre/fibers?

... Trimco, WaWa, Hot Stuff Fusion, Ebonyline
Adore Thermal, American Dream Thermofibre,
Cyberhair,........etc.??

I will be doing some testing myself next week or so, but if
anyone can give a heads up with some feedback that would be
great stuff!!

Boogiemama……you around girl?
Rae girl…you do heat seals right,... what haar ya using??
Any stylists lurking that can chime in here??
DIY heat seal gurus….??

I’m probably gonna be answering my own question pretty darn
soon... heehee

Well, all monofiber should be fine--so ProStyles, PH, Dome, Trimco, etc. AFAIK, those fibers were all designed for the heat-sealing process, and I believe they all have a similar melting point.

It seemed like the therm--AD, WaWa, Ebonyline, HSF, etc.--was up in the air because of the higher melting point, but someone here (and I'm forgetting who) tested it the other day and said the therm melted just fine too.

Yeah, Trimco heatseals. I dunno about all the thermofibers.

I don't really "do" them, btw (I don't offer them as a service). I practice them, and I think I'm doing them right, but I'm not pro-level or anything. :)

Thanks girls...yeah I guess it's time to test all the thermofibres.
I am really hoping that AD works out as Metalgirl said it was
much better looking than the monofibre. I really want to find out
more about the Cyberhair synthetic, it's supposed to be real
nice too. Aghh...I have a whole week to wait for my heat seal
gun.....then look out ALL synth. heehee

We would not be able to purchase Cyberhair.  That's the gig with International Hairgoods where they have to approve you for a territory and then you have to meet a sales quota each month  ($750) to keep your territory and buying rights.

I feel the AD hair has promise, but I don't know if it can be heat sealed.  I turned my curling iron on high and it didn't even singe the hair.

I think the Wa Wa that I have from Vixen Wigs and the AD thermo are equally as nice.

I  did try to curl my AD hair with the curling iron on high, and I got a nice curl, no fried hair!

This stuff is amazing!

I'm getting my heat-sealed hair redone by Bettie in Atlanta.  I know that she has a way of doing the seals with *any* type of hair, including human, so. . .I don't see why you wouldn't be able to use the thermofiber.  I'll find out her technique. . .
