I'm digging the wawa wave too. As I said in another post my hair is, at this point, "a trainwreck" because I have SO many different synths installed and they all behave slightly differently. However I *really like* the wawa wave. I bought the weft and have been making tips out of it.
I recall that Amm & someone else, though, said that they really didn't like the wawa wave (or maybe just the weft it came on? not sure), in this thread:
It was me. What I don't like is the weft - I made clips which I already hate and doubled the wefts so it's just too thick. I like the hair, tho. Mine has straightened somewhat and I find the texture just a tad thicker than the straight. But since it's not permanently installed on my head, I'm not paying such close attention to it or how it's acting. In fact, I haven't even worn hair all week .
I ordered a weft of the 613 bodywave to experiment with and I agree - it's gorgeous! What are you going to do with yours, Jenny?
Not sure, really, but it sure is pretty. Yes, I got the 613, too!
Come to think of it, I believe MetalGirl had also said that the hair got frizzy and she wasn't crazy about it.
What I still can't get my head around is the difference between
PlastikHaar and WaWa in the long term (or after the first wash through
the course of a few months). As I understand it, both are beautiful
when installed, but have a tendency to lose their wave and get a bit
frizzy after awhile. Both will respond to curling irons, but do better
with hot rollers. I think I'm still a bit confused about the advantages
and disadvantages to each. The PH feels finer and softer to me on
sight, while the WaWa feels a bit thicker yet still quite silky. Does
the WaWa also respond to blowing it out smooth and steam?
Maybe I just need to test these babies (the 50mm and the WaWa wave) side by side.

I'm having issues with straight wawa that I put alittle curl in and
then fried the ends of. My PH sprung right back when I got out a
can of patience sucked it up and blew things out right. the wawa
not as much. Also the wawa I only had to leave in rollers for
like 2 minutes as opposed to 15 with PH and I think it held on to its
curl a touch longer.
Plus the wawa won't fry when you attack with irons. But you know most if not all of this already!
Having them both in at the same time is a challenge because you can use a curling iron on the WaWa but (supposedly, or at least VERY cautiously) not on the PH. Also they behave differently from heat. I used hot rollers on both PH & WaWa (side by side on my head today) and I can *very* clearly see the difference in how each takes and holds the curl. The WaWa gets a curl more the shape of the roller, whereas the PH seems to just go back more to how it was.
I don't know why the WaWa ends are frizzing but I keep having the same problems. I'm off to steaming -- will report later --

I am still wearing my curly Wa Wa clip ins and I do like them for the most part.
I find that I have to steam it every 4 days or so to keep the frizz at bay. Of course that eliminates the curl, so I reset it in hot rollers. It looks and feels beautiful for about 3 days or so.
My wa wa will not curl with a curling iron, even on the hottest temperature.
I am eager to try the PH wefts that I will be receiving in a few weeks.
Has anyone figured out whats the best way to treat/care for the thermalfiber synthetics? Should we be treating like human hair or like the other synthetics? Amm seems to have really good luck and it has been mixed in with human hair extensions. I wonder what her care routine is. Ive had 30-40 strands of ebonyline thermal in with my HH extensions since late February. I have been washing and caring for them like HH. Other than the ends being a little frizzed, they have held up great. The hair is still very soft and manageable.

I prefer Ebonyonline Thermal to WaWa -- but I've only gotten the WaWa
body wave, and I've gotten the Ebonyonline Yaki straight thermal. It
performs really well, but definitely takes some getting used to. Some
of us can get it to curl with an iron, some of us can't. It works GREAT
with hot rollers. I also prefer ebonyonline's 27 and 613 to Wawa's. Slight differences, but work better for me.
PH is a totally different animal from the thermal...it comes in great,
long lengths, a zillion colors, and is susceptible to melting. A lot of
us have it installed with pinchbraids or heat seals.
If you surf around here you'll find a TON of our reviews/info on all of the above. . .check Jenny's synth pages.
The more reviews I read the more confused I get . All I want is a synth in a lose to med curl that I can use low heat on in a warm med brown I am curantly using bohime #4.All this talk of steaming yikes that sounds like a lot of work is it worth it?WaWa ,PH, dome, therm ,monofiberI feel like going eni meenie miney mo!!!!Is it all still a mystery?"

LOL Marie. I think its just the same as the human hair reviews, everyones opinion is different and everyone with vary on their likes and dislikes. Some synthetic will work for some.....etc ect! I really dont think synthetic is anymore 'work' than human hair. Its just different and a different care routine. And yes it is kinda a mystery since most of the girls have just recently started trying or switching to the various synthetic fibers in the past couple of months. So its still a big learning process. Like I said I dont think synthetic is more work(in fact probably less) its just a totally different way of caring for it and styling, etc. that we are all learning about! The nice thing is that synthetic is CHEAP! If you trash it you are not out a boat load of money.

Marie - LOL!! YES it is so confusing and you should see ME with all these different kinds of hair on my head, trying to style it, and part of it reacting one way, part of it reacting another way. . .it's crazy!!
I just have to remind myself - I DO Have a goal, which is hair that I LOVE at a great price that will last 8-9 weeks. PH mostly does that for me. I think I'll have a much better time with it on my upcoming install because I'm using the 50mm rather than the 28mm, I don't mind if it goes nearly straight, and I won't fry the sides the way I did at the beginning. . .
Thanks Sherrie and Fina, I do want to order somthing today as I am in need of a reset!!! Feina I think after hearing of your problems with 28mm I too will get 50mm.
