hey around by me at teh beauty supply stores i always (and
mostly) see hair thats called yaky or yaki . What is this hair? i
mainly see african americans purchasing it and it fels different
that silyk straight or others, is this textured hair or just really
course?? or even from a horse? haha would it be good for
caucasian hair? thanks

the term 'yaki' refers to the coarse texture! haha....not from any animal! Although I have purchased hair that I couldve swore felt like a horses tail! LOL

No kidding! And they called that 'silky straight'! Heck - there are horse's tails that are MUCH silkier than some of the matted dog hair that I've gotten!

Yaki officially is supposed to replicate the texture of straightened curly hair, so it's straight, but has a coarser base texture. But as we well know, one brand's yaki is another brand's silky - like WaWa; all their hair is labeled yaki and it is as fine an silky as can be.

I was just going to say that about the WaWa "yaki." It's some of the
softest hair I've ever felt.
