So I'm getting close to being ready to put my hair in with shrinkies. I've made 150 tips so far.The thing is that it looks like so much hair.I'm sure its partially because of the fact I used deep wave. But there's Already a ton more hair than is actually on my head, lol. I made the tips as small as I could. Is it possible that 150 could be enough?

My hair right now is between my chin and the top of my shoulder length wise if that helps. It also very thin and fine.

If you think it's alot of hair sitting there, you may very well have
enough. A good wave always gives the illusion of more hair (which is
why I like body and curl when I wear mine).

The question is -- what is the weight of the hair you've tipped?

I think anyone who deals with extensions should invest in a good
digital scale that weighs in both grams and ounces. It's invaluable
when receiving your hair to know if you've gotten what you paid for,
as well as just knowing what you're wearing.

PS - love your baby icon. That's adorable.

Or, if you know how many packages of hair you've used, hair usually comes in quarter-pound (4 ounce) bags, or sometimes (especially in the UK and Europe) 100 grams, which is 3.5 ounces. So you can count the number of packages you've used, and multiply from there. I personally think that for anyone going short-to-long, 6 ounces of human and 8 ounces of synth (because synth is heavier per strand) is the minimum one should use.

"6 ounces of human and 8 ounces of synth (because synth is heavier per strand)"

Actually, synth is lighter per strand than human hair..I've heard anywhere from 1/4 to 1/2 the weight of hh.
