I have naturally brown hair and blue eyes.  My skin has yellowish undertones, and I tan fairly well.  Throughout highschool I had a golden blonde hair color.  I died my hair dark brown over the summer.  The hair color then faded to an auburn color.  I did not like the red tones in the hair, so I recently had it dyed to match my roots.  Now that my hair is finally back to its natural medium brown color, I don;t like it at all.  I am trying to figure out what hair color would look best on me. if anyone has any suggestions feel free to help me out!

Well, I would normally have suggested red, but you didn't care for auburn. . . let's see. . . maybe some caramel and/or butterscotch highlights?

my opinion

I havent "seen" you so I cant recommend based on your looks, however contrast always looks beautiful.  if you have light eyes, go for darker hair, if you have dark eyes, lighter hair looks good.

I haven't seen you but your coloration sounds like mine.  You sounded most happy with the blonde, and given what you said it probably flattered your skin tone.  Anything rich or golden and not ash would probably be your best bet.
