Ok I cant take pictures right now but here is a picture I found online of clips like I use.Stich your thread through the holes around a secure peice of weft. I put Clips on the ends and middle for peices starting at five inches. If your want you can add a drop of glue(nail, latex, hot) over the finished thread to make it extra secure. But the thread hold really good if you weave it through the hole a few times.Hope this helps

yeah i got those clips from sally's. the damn weaving needle i got doesn't fit through the metal-lined holes tho. (the 2 holes at the bottom) i just need to see how the thread is woven thru the holes and around the weft. gah!
and on many clip in pics, it looks like 3 wefts are sewn into one....

You don't sew through the bottom metal lined holes, just the other holes.  It's like sewing on a button.  Just make sure you knot off your thread really good.

Same technique- those just have a different tooth design on the comb bit.

those dont look like they would stay in - i thought the clip ins used some sort of a snap lock clip that just looks like it would slide in (and straight back out?)
