sewn in weave Q’s....

I think Sherrie is the best person to address this, but to the best of my knowledge, for a weave, the stylist french braids about 1/4 inch of hair from the sides to the middle back of your hair then joins the braids together and ties them.  Next they sew the weft onto the braid.  If you have healthy hair and a good stylist this should cause minimal breakage or damage. 

     I think you have to accept a tiny, and I do mean tiny, amount of damage, but nothing a normal person with good hair should notice.

     I think a sewn in weft is a good way to get started with extensions.  It's pretty inexpensive, safe, painless, and best of all quick to install.   Just be sure you get good hair.  I believe you will notice crappy hair first and foremost.

     Breakage will happen if the braid is way too tight, or if the weft is improperly placed.  This will be avoided with good workmanship, so choose your stylist well, preferably someone who has done it at least 10 times before.  I hope others who know more will chime in.  Best Wishes.
