question for Plastikhaar wearers..

Ok here's my clients regular complaints in general with bohyme human hair, can you tell me if this still happens with Plastikhaar as im thinking of changing to use that instead as their are so many good reviews...

1)  Human Hair TANGLES

2) HUman hair goes frizzy after 10-15 washes

3) Hard to manage

4) doesnt sit right (in humidity around neck line)

 

boy my customers like their moan! any help would be appreciated.

Thanks Rae, youve been very helpful.  No 4 was: in humid weather / night out, some customers complain that the hair bunches up together at the neck line (underneath) and goes tangly.  I think this is maybe something unavoidable.

Sorry to be a pain Rae but how do you blow out synthetic hair, is it just going over it with a hair dryer?

I think i will do the same Amanda.  Yeah that would be great if you could do that chick, Ive ordered some double drawn remi hair (raw)internationally and i can send you a sample of that once it comes for you to test.

Well, I love PH, but whether your clients do or not will depend on their expectations, their priorities, and how they care for the haar. For me, it took a little while to figure out how to care for the haar, so it's important to give them as much information up front as possible.

For curly or wavy haired clients, it's essential that they have a set of velvet-covered (flocked) hot rollers to reset the wave. For those who  must flatiron their own hair, I would recommend that they get a flocked  or steam flatiron (no metal or ceramic). You should show all of them how to blow-out or steam the hair properly to make it smooth again. I would also recommend telling them to wash the haar as little as possible (especially after the first install). Blending is essential with synth to get the perfect match, and the haar will most likely have an initial shine to it that's shinier than the client's hair (although this will subside after a few washes). In addition, you'll want to make sure they're using the right brushes, combs, and products (for the latter, I would recommend Dome Care and BTZ Flasher spray/for the former, a boar's hair brush isn't going to do it--they need more substantial bristles than that, as well as a wide-tooth comb). And they should sleep with it in a schungi, boinks, or a low braid.

The advantages of synth are many in my opinion:
1. Price.
2. Color range.
3. Less tangling.
4. Ability to revert haar to almost original condition.
5. Length range.
6. Texture range.
7. Less overall care required.
8. Consistency.
9. Faster drying.
10. Looks better on install than HH (imo).

There are possible disadvantages, though (although many of these apply to human hair too, especially low or medium-quality human):
1. Initial shine.
2. Wavy textures will drop and need to be reset.
3. Hair is rough when wet, and in general a bit rougher (less soft) than HH.
4. It's best not to use metal hot tools.
5. You can't dye or bleach the hair.

I think the best approach would be to try it for yourself, and see what you think.
