hi everyone!  im new to this message board!! im so glad ive found this place ive been looking on the net for months for a website and forum with information and finally ive found a good one where everyone knows what they are talking about!!

so anyway yesterday i bought some balmain hair to apply on my sister, ive never done these kind of extensions before but i have done the braid type extensions many times so im hoping it shouls be ok! has anyone every used the balmain ones before and if so what kind of hair are they made from as i cant seem to figure it out? they were quite expensive (£14.50 a pack of 10) and the hair feels really nice. if anyone has any tips or advice for me id be very grateful!!! im just goin to read the pinned section of the forum with the advice in it now so thanks for reading this and wish me luck! lol

 Cheza xx

I've seen it first hand.  Its ok for a couple of washes and then it goes like straw, take it back.  If you want good hair I can get you two packs of bohyme for the same price but you would have to tip it yourself xx

thanks for replying! im not sure about bohyme, i dont know to apply the tips  lol as i said this is my first time ive used these kind of extensions. i wouldnt be too bothered if it wa my own hair the extensions were being applied on but its my sister and i really dont want to let her down, she isnt that great with hair and ive tried to warn her about the fact they might go all crappy and fall out but she wont listen. im gonna have a talk to her about it and show her this when she comes to have them done today. thanks for the offer of the bohyme hair tho! if she changes her mind about the balmain ill let you know, do you have an ebay shop?

Yeah, Balmain hasn't gotten the best reviews. You can search the archives for more info on that.

For human hair, I would recommend Bohyme (as Amanda suggested) or Extensions-Plus. For synth, try PlastikHaar.

Good luck! :)

I got trained in the Balmain method, and first of all, it's just fusion, and secondly, I agree that the hair is terrible.  It was some of the worst hair I've ever seen.  It really did become straw-like within a few washes.

Also, if you aren't familiar with how fusion is applied, you will have trouble with the extensions shedding a lot.

And I also found that I had to cut the tips down because they put way too much glue on them, and if you don't cut it down, you will have huge glue bonds in the hair.

Chezza - My salon is just outside Glasgow.  I can do fusion, braids, weaves, conrows and clip-in extensions however preffer fusion method.  We stock bohyme hair, synthetic hair and now virgin russian hair!!  The Russian hair has to be custom coloured though to match your hair after it has been applied (as comes in bulk) but the bohyme or synthetic hair has a good selection of colours sure to match yours and can be ordered in to suit.

email or pm me for details on prices and before and after pics.

Amanda - Thanks chick.

xx
